Using the animations

The animations show energy transfer through a multiple-stage system, showing that for each stage the total energy output is the same as the energy input (energy is conserved), but that dissipation takes place. Introduction of the concept of efficiency allows some exploration and due emphasis on the core concepts of conservation and dissipation. Detailed and formal consideration of efficiency is not required or intended here.
